See You Smile
02:11
|
|||
I walk down the street, shuffling my feet
When I see you on your own
The sun's in your hair, and spring’s in the air
And your face is all aglow
I’ve rehearsed in my mind, time after time
What I would say to you
But I turned my head round, looked down at the ground
And I hide like a fool
No please don’t go, I want you to stay with me
I think you should know I want to be yours
Just for a while
Just so I can see you smile at me
The leaves growing old, your head on my shoulder
As I look in your eyes
You look back at me, you’re all that I see
As the days keep flying by
No please don’t go, I want you to stay with me
I think you should know I’ll always be yours
So stay for a while
Just so I can see you smile

Look Down
03:00
|
|||
Look down, look down and see her eyes
Staring back at you
Look up, look up and realize
You ain't got the time to feel blue
Go now, 'fore it's too late, my friend
She won't be back again
So run now, as fast as you can
She might still love you
She's miles away and all you've got to say
Is "she ain't worth my time"
She's worth all you and you're worth her, too
Don't just wait for a sign
Think on all the times gone by
Through kisses, long nights, and lovers' sighs
So take or leave her love tonight
She might still love you, love you
Oh, so many loves fall down like rain
And they can't get up again
Oh, so many roads have lead us here
And the next one is so near
Thoughts it's not quite as clear
Look out, look straight through yourself
What's it gonna be?
Look out, look hard, don't disregard
What you really see
Go now, 'fore it's too late, my friend
She won't be back again
So run now, as fast as you can
She might still love you, love you, love you

Sirens' Grass
03:04
|
|||
Lost my legs to a shaken nerve
Watch your lips moving to silent words
But hear them as they hit the dusty ground like rain
Looking back in your unblinking eyes
Bite my lips and swallow butterflies
Draw a breath and feel the air flow through my veins
Maybe I could say a word to change your mind
And I could try to show you what you've left behind
But you never have thought twice
Let me stay here just for one more day
Just as long as you can hear me say
The world still shakes from when you walked away
Kept my memory in a sheltered space
You wipe it every time I see your face
And send me back to when I'd never known this day
So I'll lay my head down in the sirens' grass
Close my eyes and turn the hourglass
And I could stay asleep until my hair turned grey
Maybe I could say a word to change your mind
And I could try to show you what you've left behind
But you never have thought twice
Let me stay here just for one more day
Just as long as you can hear me say
The world still shakes from when you walked away

Beneath the Stone

Forged in fire, my blood and bone
And I will rest beneath the stone

Rishikesh

Rishikesh, what can I do?
Rishikesh, oh I still love you
Oh, what can I do?
Rishikesh, what have you seen?
What's there between the sun and me?
Oh, what have you seen?
Feeling your way through air
Singing your way though love
Tell me what I should be
To get back to above
Walk alone beneath stars
I want to make what's mine ours
For you, oh tell me it's true
Run on between the trees
Hear the song of the wind and see
The hills roll on
Showing with all your heart
Giving with your mind
Where have you gone to now?
Don't keep me here left behind
I want to be grounded next to you
Oh, I want be shown how to prove
That the countries, stars, and cars
Aren't much to me, I confess
It's just you and only you

Weightless
03:57
|
|||
Watch the clock hands spinning as I lie in bed
Hear the whistle of her breathing next to me
Trying desperately to calm my restless head
I step onto the floor and tread so quietly
I leave the ground like a lover, as I ascend up above her
And slip through the window into night, I rise like sun and into flight
Swim into the sky above so easily
Watch the world get smaller as I rise up high
The icy air that stings the breath inside of me
Goes rippling though my bones as I shoot through the sky
Spiral through the glassy night and write her name
Twisting, turning through the air in front of me
Ride the winds that lift me like a paper plane
Let them take me as I run from gravity
She lets me feel so weightless, when I'm floating around her
Slowly sink back to the roof down under me
Through the window, cross the room to where I lay
Slipping back into her arms so quietly
Tune into her breathing as I fade away
She lets me feel so weightless, when I'm lying beside her
